Play-date....

We had a play-date with my friend, Vanessa, and her girls today. She has a little girl that is a few months older than Abby, Suzanna, and a 9 mo. old, Ella. Abby ADORES them and loves playing with Suz. They are such sweet little girls. The girls had a great time (mainly jumping on my bed, LOL!). We even had a pizza lunch. Vanessa's husband, Casey, works with Scott. They actually met while they were both working in Africa, and now Casey also works for NGA. Very nice to have them here. We get to talk all the time about how much we miss our families, and how cold it is here! :-)

Best Buddies, Suz and Abby!!

Ella is such a cutie. She was getting Abby's nose! :-) Abby has talked about it non-stop since they left, and will probably talk about it for the next 6 months. LOL!

Hard at work in the kitchen.

The best pic I could get of the 3 of them! 3 little monkey's jumping on my bed! :-)

How Could I Forget....

The BEST picture of all.....Abby, Timmie and the Bunny!!

Easter Fun....

We had a great Easter weekend. We started out with a trip to Nanny and Papaw's on Thursday. Abby had a blast playing with Nanny, Papaw, Timmie and everyone else. Mom had pictures done of Abby and Timmie with a live bunny, we went to an Easter Egg Hunt, Aunt Marsha made a bunny cake, they decorated easter eggs and made pancakes. It was a busy couple of days, but loads of fun. Oh, and Scott watched basketball! LOL! We can't forget that important detail of the weekend! ;-)

On Saturday we hit the road for Goggy and Gi-gi's house. Abby was again overwhelmed with fun and people to entertain. She had a great time with Aunt Sara, Uncle Jeff and Chelsea!...and Googy and Gi-gi, of course! We had Easter dinner at their house and the whole family came over. The kids hunted Easter Eggs and we had a great meal, as always.

2 years later......

Abby found this in her closet this weekend. She played with it for over an hour! LOL! We could NOT stop laughing at her. She loved it. We see a real jealousy problem when the new baby gets here.......LOL!!

BUBBLES!!!

Okay, so those of you with kids, you know that there is nothing more fun than BUBBLES! Abby has been an addict for well over a year! LOL! We found this AWESOME bubble maker (and it's only $8.43 at Target right now)! She loves it, and so does Dixon! LOL! I turned it on, and it was like Christmas for all of us. (yes, even Scott and I got in on the fun!)

Birthday Fun!!!

Friday was Scott's Birthday. He was off, so we got to spend all day with him (even though the day was filled with meeting realtors, looking at houses, running errands, etc.). We did get to have a little fun at Abby's gym class, though. Scott actually really liked it! :-) We are going to switch her to the Friday class, so he can go more often and so the Grandparents can make it to a class or 2, also!....plus, Mr. John teaches Friday's class, and Abby loves him. Scott says it's because he is a total spaz, which makes him perfect for Abby! hahahaha!

Anyways, we finally got around to baking Scott's cake at about 5pm, but it was YUMMY and Abby was a huge help when it came to decorating! ;-)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Daddy!!! We love you!!

Some Big Utley News......

Well, we have decided to put our house on the market AGAIN! (can you hear me crying from here???) We are just hoping and praying that things go better than they did last time. For those of you that didin't hear or that forgot, we had the WORST experience EVER when we put our house on the market last year. We have heard that things are really picking up in this area and there is a new rotation coming into Scott Air Force Base soon, so that can only help. We are actively looking at houses already. We are trying to NOT get excited or get our hopes up, but we found a perfect place last night, and we are looking at three more homes tomorrow. Pretty much we had to just pick a hometown for Abby (based on schools), and we went from there! :-( Sad, huh? This place will never be home to us, but we have to make the most of it, because it is home to her. Plus, I think once we get established in a town, things will be much better. We have already met so many people, it will just get better with her being in school, etc. Okay, I am rambling......

Oh, and......

WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!! hahahahahaha.....Okay, so that is the REALLY big news! :-) Some of you already know, but hopefully, we will surprise some people! I am already 14 weeks, so we will be finding out what we are having VERY soon!! (but, I am about 100% positive it's another little girl:-) We had an u/s at 11 weeks and everything looks PERFECT and there is only 1!! hahaha! That was Scott's greatest concern!

So, now everyone knows why we are in such a panic to get moved!;-)

Oh, and tomorrow is Scotty's big 31st b-day!! :-) We will post some celebration pics! LOL! Abby and I got him some GREAT surprises and we are baking him a cake. Abby wanted him to have a red and white cake, and it just so happened Scott wanted a red velvet cake (and it just so happens I am pregnant and will eat any baked good placed in front of me), so we are all happy!! LOL!

Our Little Gymnast.....

Well, Tuesdays are Gym Class day. This is a very big deal in our house. Abby LOVES class and she loves her teachers, Ms. Lauren and Mr. John. The class is really great. They do everything you can think of, and they teach them skills, but the kids go at their own pace. So, as you can imagine, Abby goes full-speed for all of it. Not to brag;-), but she is a natural! The uneven bars are her favorite, with the balance beam a close second. She is also content to just run like a maniac on the floor and get all the other kids to chase her, and they always do. LOL! We had a snow day last week, so our make-up day is this Friday, which means Daddy gets to go with us for the first time. She is sooooooo excited. Maya's Daddy was there today, and Abby couldn't stop talking about her Daddy. It was the sweetest thing EVER!
After class a bunch of the moms took the kiddos to Chuck E. Cheese. Abby LOVED the big singing characters more than anything. She is such a nut. She clapped and sang like a little groupie at a concert! LOL! She wants to take everyone there now. Nanny, Papaw, Gi-gi and Goggy-This is where dinner will be for the next few visits, I have a feeling! :-) She was so sweet...when she was done eating she said, 'let's go potty and then go home, mom!' LOL!

Biscuit Day and Polka-dot room.....

Well, yesterday was the BIG day. Biscuit was at storytime. Scott and I would describe it mostly as a nightmare, LOL, but Abby somewhat enjoyed it! The event started off with a woman with a horrid baby voice reading 3 Biscuit books to a bunch of toddlers. You can imagine how this went over......pretty much like a lead balloon! The children had NO interest in the stories, because even at 2 and 3, they knew how ridiculous this woman sounded, LOL!....and did they really expect all of the kids to sit quietly through 3 stories? Thankfully, Ms. Sue, the wonderful teacher that usually runs storytime, saved the day with songs. The singing is always Abby's favorite, and she LOVES Ms. Sue. After the songs, they made all of the children line up....again, have you ever tried to line up 50 toddlers and make them wait for far too long!? We were lucky enough to have some really sweet kiddos in line behind us, and Abby played with them (I think that was the highlight of her day:-). They finally brought Biscuit out.....WHOA! He was HUGE! Easily over 7ft. tall! I guess all of the employees UNDER 6'5 were busy doing other things! LOL! So, there was Biscuit. They walked him up on stage and let all of the kids walk by and hug him, get pictures, etc. When we got close, I quickly realized Abby would have NONE of that, so I handed off the camera to Scott, so that I could make the walk by Biscuit as NON-traumatic as possible. (More on Scott's camera work later) We got to Biscuit and Abby was less than trilled by the over-sized version of Biscuit, so I had to give him a hig-five, while she waved and blew him a kiss from a safe distance.

Moral of the story: Next time we are just taking her to the pet store to look at REAL dogs, or she can play out in the back yard with Dixon and pretend he is Biscuit! LOL! I think that would be easier and more fun for all of us!

So, here is Biscuit and the ONE pic that Scott got of Abby and Biscuit (check out his camera work, what a pro!!) LOL!!
We also got Abby's bedding for her new Big-Girl room yesterday. She wants a polka-dot room, and we found an adorable room idea in a Pottery Barn Kids magazine, so we are going to copy that. We got her bedding yesterday. It is so adorable. She picked it out all by herself. Scott thought I was crazy, and that she had no idea what she really wants, so he offered her the choice of her new bedding or Spiderman bedding, and she picked hers. LOL! Poor Scott, he just doesn't get it. Even at 2, girls know EXACTLY what they want. :-) We are now on the hunt for her new bed. I can't believe she will be in a BIG bed soon! :-( I will post pics of her new room when it is all finished. We won't have it done until May or so, because we still have to make some room decisions in the near future;-) and, we are CRAZY, and pondering putting the house back on the market, too! UGH!! Nooooooooooo.........LOL! More to come on that, also!!

Weekend Plans....

Well, hold on to your hats.....Biscuit is going to be at storytime tomorrow! LOL! Abby is so excited. We have been coutning down the days. I will have pics to post tomorrow. She also got invited to go swimming with some friends.

Above are some pics from last weekend of her mud baking with Nanny! Look how proud she is of her Mud Birthday Cake! LOL! It was 70 degrees last weekend and now we are back to freezing wind! Ugh....have I mentioned how sick I am of this weather. At least we aren't at home right now. Mom said most of you are getting 8-12in. Have fun! :-)

Having Strawberries and Cool-Whip, but I think you can see what she liked best! :-)

Trying Something New....

Some good friends of ours have a blog for their family, and I think it is so neat, I have decided to give it a try. It seems like a great way to keep everyone updated on what's happening around here (since we all know we lead such an exciting life;-). Plus, it's a great way to share pictures of Abby.....and we all know I love doing that!

So......here's my test run!! YAY!

I did it!! Now I need to figure out how to post pictures and all of that fun stuff........

About Me

Welcome to our life! :) Our life seems to be a constant 3 ring circus these days, but we have a lot of fun, laugh a lot and enjoy every minute of it (okay...almost every minute-haha!) Scott and I have been married for almost 9 years, and we are the parents of 2 amazing daughters, and another little one on the way. This blog is a way to keep in touch with family and friends. It also serves as a 'year book' of sorts for our family. Enjoy!!
