Surprise layover....

This little activity and picture of my silly girl pretending to be at the beach sparked an idea one day a couple of months ago. I knew there was an indoor water park in French Lick, and it just so happens to be on our way to my parents, and it so happened that we were going to be making a trip home that next week. So, I got online and did some looking and we called that night an booked our stay. We decided we were going to surprise the girls and not tell them what we were doing...

They were SO excited when we got there. They had NEVER stayed in a hotel before and I think they were more excited about that than anything else! ha!

Abby was EXHAUSTED, so she crashed shortly after we got settled with no problem. BUT, she was up @ 5am! Liv, on the other hand was WIDE awake and wanted to party all night. At 11:30 she was still going strong and was shoving stuffed animals in my face and singing Justin Bieber. I finally crashed so I guess she did too around midnight, and while Scott was able to keep Abby quiet until about 6:30 or so, by 7am we were up and off to breakfast...which didn't open until 8am! ha! Once it opened, the girls were in heaven. This was also their first time eating a buffet type meal. We could have left after breakfast and they still would have been happy! ha!

Since we ate so early, we had to kill time until the water park opened.

We opened the place, and were ready to go. It was so nice. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. It was a week day, off season, so we just ran wild and did as we pleased the entire time.

They started on the smaller stuff, but that didn't last long....

They quickly moved to the bigger slides with us going too,

And, after a few times of that, they were on their own, having a BLAST!

We stayed and played for about 4 or 5 hrs. before heading on our way. The girls had a lot of fun, and were SO worn out. In all of Abby's 5 1/2 yrs, I can count on one hand the number of times she has slept in a vehicle (yes, that includes when she was an infant/baby...she NEVER slept), but she did sleep for about 45min. in the car that day! I'm sure we will do it again this coming fall/winter. It was a nice little break from the cold (we were there mid-March) and a fun little trip.

About Me

Welcome to our life! :) Our life seems to be a constant 3 ring circus these days, but we have a lot of fun, laugh a lot and enjoy every minute of it (okay...almost every minute-haha!) Scott and I have been married for almost 9 years, and we are the parents of 2 amazing daughters, and another little one on the way. This blog is a way to keep in touch with family and friends. It also serves as a 'year book' of sorts for our family. Enjoy!!
