I have noticed on some blogs, people will post things such as, 'i'm thankful for...,' 'i'm happy because....,' i'm excited because....,' etc. and I LOVE reading them! So, today I am writing the very first Utley Edition of It's a Good Day because.....
These are EVERY day goods, so after today, these are givens, okay?? haha!
***we have a healthy, brilliant, beautiful and insanely funny daughter. She is the joy of our lives and I can barely remember life before her.
***i have a wonderful husband (and Abby has a wonderful Daddy) that loves us so much and takes such good care of us, and he puts up with us...which is no easy feat! haha! Not to mention he is incredibly handsome and very funny (on most days, ha!), so that doesn't hurt, either! :-)
***Scott has a great job that allows me to stay home and be a Mommy. I know I complain about being so far from family, but I wouldn't trade our situation for anything. And, on top of that, he has a super cool job that highlights just how smart he is!
***in 8 weeks or less, we will have another wonderful daughter in our home, and Abby will be a big sister.
***we have the BEST families and friends! There is nothing that we enjoy more than spending time with the people that we love! :-)
And, things that make today a Good Day.....
***I have sushi rolls and InTouch Weekly waiting for me when Abby goes to bed.
***I am getting my hair done Friday! YES! It looks horrible. Yes, I will only get my hair done at home. But, the girl that does my hair is the BEST! It's worth driving 4hrs. haha!
***Season 5 of Project Runway starts TOMORROW! YAY! How I have missed you, Tim Gunn! haha!
***AT&T finally came today and buried the phone line. Perfect timing, since Scott mowed last night! hahaha! Oh well, at least won't have to mow around it EVER again!
***Abby saw a lady feeding a baby today and told me that she is going to feed Olivia like that! Awwww...she might warm up to this big sister thing after all.
***Babies R Us is exchanging old Dr. Brown bottles for new BPA free ones. YAHOO! I took the first 3 today and between me, Scott, our Moms, SIL's, etc. we will be able to swap all of our old ones out for new ones (they only allow 3 per person..ha, yeah right!)
***It is 90+ degrees, but so far I have been able to keep Abby occupied without having to go out and play in the heat. Yes, I know my time is running thin. haha!
***All the laundry in the house is done, and I am starting on washing all of Olivia's things tonight.

What a terrific idea!! I think I might have to start doing this as well. . . sometimes I find it so easy to get caught up in the negatives that I forget to mention the good stuff. . . and boy has there been lots of good stuff in the last 7.5 months. :) Thanks for the idea. . .and I agree with your mom. I feel so blessed to be able to call you my friend. I love you sweetie. Hope to see you soon. What do you have going on next week?
