Still playing catch up...EASTER! :)

For some reason, blogger will not let me type above the first picture on a post...weird! Anyways, I am still working on getting caught up on the blog, so without further ado....EASTER with the UTLEY'S! ha! We had a lot of fun coloring eggs this year. Both girls were very into it, and it's so awesome that they both are starting to really understand the meaning of holidays. Olivia loved telling us who came back to life on Easter. :) She would get so excited when we would ask her and yell, JESUS! And, Abby was really into the whole story, asking lots of questions about why were people mean to Jesus, what did they do to him, how did he come back from the dead, etc. I love watching their little minds process it all. So sweet and innocent.

We went to Scott's parents for Easter weekend. These girls have Goggy wrapped! :)
My beautiful big girl...posing in her pj's! :)
Wild child! :)
Easter morning with Baby Will!
My Mom and Dad also came to celebrate Easter @ my in-laws. They got the girls these hair extensions from the Tangled stuff. You can see how thrilled Liv was with them! haha!
Abby LOVED them, though!
With Papaw! :)
Goggy and Will!
Nanny and her girl!
baahahaha! This is too funny. It looks like Liv is about to hit Will, but she isn't and he was fine, too...I promise. He just didn't want to sit down!
But, she's quick to console!
And, the girls just keep smiling while Will hates every minute of it! ha!

The girls with Chelsea! :)
And, a bunch of rotten boys! It's always so fun to get together with all of Scott's cousins and their kiddos.
We had a great Easter and got to spend it with loved ones...couldn't ask for more!

More racing...

The weekend before the half-marathon I ran in Murray, I ran in a marathon relay in St. Louis. It was so much fun! Each of us ran a leg of the marathon, each leg was between 6-7.5 miles. I was the lucky one and ran first! ha! It was SO hot. Actually, it got so hot, they had to re-route the race at one point and if marathon runners were not at a certain point, they were re-routed to the half-marathon course. Over 100 people had to see medics and 20+ were taken to hospitals! Crazy stuff. We saw a lady pass out and hit the pavement face first just one block from the finish line! So scary! Thankfully, we had no issues that day, just a lot of fun. Above is one of the hectic relay stations. These were madness. You had to go and just wait for your runner to come through and then hand off the timing belt. It was total chaos, but so much fun.

Here we are on the metro...the course was so spread out we had to ride the metro to all the different relay stations. We went to all of them to cheer on every member of our team, so once I ran, I hopped on and rode to see the 2nd and 3rd person hand off, and so on. Then we all meet our 4th runner a few blocks from the finish line and the team runs in together. We finished the 26.2 miles in about 4hrs. 40min. We all ran our legs in our goal times. Like I said, it was a blast. By far the most fun I have ever had racing. I will for sure be looking for a team for next year, too!
At the finish, after getting our medals!
And, with our medals, our beer and a friend that also lives out here by us! (We had to get a Clinton County picture-ha!) It was so hot, all the drinks all day long were hot...that beer was the first cold drink we had all day. ha!
Thanks, for asking me to run ladies. We ran for a Drury Inn team and they paid our entry fees, etc. Cassie, the tall one :), works for Drury and there was another Drury team running...made up of her co-workers and boss. We were joking all day about how awesome it would be to beat them, the bragging rights she would have, etc. Well, what do you know...there we all were waiting on our last runner and we saw Melissa coming, our last runner...and, we beat them!! ha! It was so funny!

Murray Half-Marathon

In mid-April, we headed back to Murray, KY to run a half-marathon. It was the first year for the race and we had a lot of fun. It was nice to be back in Murray, the race was well-0rganized and fun and we got to see lots of friends and family! Mom and Dad came and stayed also so that they could keep the girls while we ran. They had just been to Georgia to see my sister and her family, so they had our Christmas gifts from them...Christmas in April, in a hotel! ha! :)

And, they were waiting to take pics of us but almost missed Scott because the girls were posing with a lady dressed like a bumble bee! haha! So, there he is......
With Daddy after the race! :)
Here I come!
There I go....
The whole family after the race! And, this cracks me up...we didn't know it, but the lid was off of my water and I am pouring water down Abby's back...look at her face! hahaha!
This was Scott's first half, and he did awesome. Like I mentioned before, I was content running just the one I did a couple of years ago, but it was fun to do one with Scott. It was nice to just run and not care about my time or anything. I didn't even really train all that much, but it was still a fun race and I felt good through most of it and even felt good afterwards.

That same day was Will's party. Worked out perfectly since we were already in that neck of the woods, so we headed to Paducah after the race to celebrate this little angel turning 1!
Note the cat stuck in the curtain rod....all four girls claim they don't know how it got there! Hmmmm.....haha!
Everyone wanted to help Will open his presents! :)
Let me see if I can explain this without confusing everyone! ha!....Jeff, my brother in law, also went to Murray and so did his 2 older brothers (Chris and Brad) and all of them were in the same fraternity as Scott so we are all friends. Then, Sara married Jeff and I married Scott, so now we are all 'related' via marriage...these little girls, Katie and Allie, are Chris's kiddos (Jeff's brother). The girls always have a blast together.
The birthday boy with his favorite Aunt! ;)
I can't believe Will is one...the girls still call him Baby Will and probably always will! ha! We had a great weekend, and as always, it ended too soon!

Little Gymnasts....

Well, when your Mom coaches gymnastics and tumbling, I guess it's a given that at some point you will at least give it a shot, right!? ;) Luckily, for this Momma, both girls LOVE it! (YES!!!!-ha!) Abby started gymnastics a couple of years ago and liked it at first but lost interest after a few sessions. Well, now that I am out at a new gym and the girls can go to work with me, she wanted to start going again. I have never let her in a class of mine, but I thought I would give it a try. She actually does great and aside from the fact that she looks just like me, you wouldn't even know she's mine! ha! (I have seen too many bad cases of parents coaching their own kids so I tried to avoid it, but I have now learned it's about the people and how we handle it, not so much the situation...if you know what I mean-ha!) Anyways, Abby started classes again and is doing SO great. She is really working hard and improves every week. Liv also wanted to start classes but I don't teach Mom and Tot classes...they have to be self-sufficient before I want them in my class-ha!, so I told her that if she could hang with the big girls and listen and take directions, then she could start coming to some classes, too. :) (Above is the girls stretching with Miss Kayla, my assistant coach and their favorite high school cheerleader from the squad I coach! :)

Well, of course little Liv is a natural! She is YEARS younger than all of the other girls, but that doesn't stop her one bit. She doesn't get to go every week, because even though she's not trying to be, she is sort of a distraction because all the other girls want to play with her and all the parents watching ohh and ahh over how cute she is, how they can't believe how good she is to be so little, etc. ha! And, I want to be very careful that she doesn't steal any of Abby's thunder. That might sound silly, but Abby works so hard and does so good and then Liv trots in, doesn't have to really even try, she's just a natural...so for the most part, I will be keeping them in separate classes. :)

Here's Abby, working hard on her handstand...Squeezing that belly button to her back bone!
The little one, stretching her back bends!
Abby working on keeping those round-offs nice and straight!
Since I was teaching, Scott was in charge of these pictures! I will give my camera to one of the other Moms and have her get some better pics of them soon! :)

Nick and Kelly's wedding! :)

Wedding time! My cousin Kelly got married on March 26th and they asked Abby to be in the wedding! We counted down the days for MONTHS! She was SO excited!

They got her a gift and in it was a fake iphone...of course, she had to keep it on her at all times...she's an important person, people need to get a hold of her.
Being goofy with Papaw!
She was the only little one in the wedding party, but as you all know...she's actually 17, so it was all good! :)
Goodness, she's a doll! And, looks so grown up!
And, our other doll baby! She thought she was in the wedding! ha!
Right before wedding time Abby was hungry so I called Mom and Dad to bring something. They were picking up Grandma Jewell so the closest place to run through was White Castle! haha! She had chicken and actually liked it. I wasn't about to give her a gut bomb before she walked down the aisle! ha!
With the sweet couple! We love you all and are so happy that Abby was a part of your big day!
The crazy wedding party!
Time to break it down! With the Lee family, there is never a dull moment or a shortage of fun!
Cousins....all these gorgeous girls. I am sure Grandpa Lee is pleased!
Lilly and Abner...these 2 are a real pair!

Sweetest Moment of the Night! (My girls are usually pretty shy until they know you, but they have LOVED Nick from the moment they met him...may be because he lets them put tu-tu's on him, I don't know! haha!! But, Olivia was not about to stand by and let someone cut in on her man! :)
The best moment of her life. She still talks about putting on her fancy dress and dancing with Nick...every day she talks about it! Love it!
Me and my girl! They danced and partied until we had to carry them out, they were so tired!

So much fun...the wedding was perfect, Kelly was gorgeous and everyone had a BLAST!

About Me

Welcome to our life! :) Our life seems to be a constant 3 ring circus these days, but we have a lot of fun, laugh a lot and enjoy every minute of it (okay...almost every minute-haha!) Scott and I have been married for almost 9 years, and we are the parents of 2 amazing daughters, and another little one on the way. This blog is a way to keep in touch with family and friends. It also serves as a 'year book' of sorts for our family. Enjoy!!
