Two Now! :)

Just ask Olivia how old she is and she says, 'Two now!' :) Well, we had a big party at Mom and Dad's planned, so we loaded up the car Friday, headed to Mom and Dad's, Friday night Abby yells for me, I go in to see what's wrong...105 degree fever! Ugh! I was concerned, as her fever has only been that high one other time, so I woke up Mom. We got her some cold rags, Motrin, the whole nine yards and decided to wait it out and just head to Urgent Care first thing in the morning. Bright and early (which really didn't matter since most of the house had been up all night long anyways), we took her to the Urgent Care that opened the earliest, and...strep! Party Off! :( Poor Abby was so excited about the party, she had helped plan every detail of it, we were expecting a house full of people @ 3pm, but we didn't want to take any chances or have Abby miss the party, so we just cancelled. Thankfully, Liv didn't mind! ;) We still had some family members that braved it and they came over and had dinner with us, since Dad had a ton of food to grill, and then on Sunday we were able to round up a few other brave souls that wanted to come by. (and, she had been on antibiotics for over 24hrs, was feeling much better and wasn't contagious anymore, so it worked out)

Timmie had a game, so they stopped by early to see the birthday girl! :)

Love the hats and lei's, boys!

Uncle and his girls!

The birthday girl with Aunt Marsha! (what a sweet picture, I love it!)

Katrina's cuties! :)

A few party games!

She pulled this big baby out of the bag and was terrified! haha! Of course, she LOVES it now and drags it everywhere. It's as big as she is. She picks it up and everytime she tells me, 'it's heavy!' ha!

More Ab and Britt! :)

Happy Birthday, beautiful girl! :)

More playing fun. I had to post this because look in the background and Donovan chasing Carson with a net! hahaha!

Grandpa Dan and Mom wrangled the children...they are a a good pair to do it!

Giving her popsicle to Grandpa Dan!

Since we had to move the party, we had to head home shortly after everyone left so that meant a 4hr drive with 2 tired kids, 2 tired parents, one hopped up on sugar, and one that was still quite sick! You be the judge of how that drive went! ha! But, we were able to get home and unwind a little before bed. I love these last 2 picks of the girls! :)

Oh, how I can NOT believe that my baby is 2!! I am not going to lie, I'm not taking it well. There is a very good chance that she is our last :(, and I just don't want to accept that my BABY is two already! It went too fast! :( But, she's a bundle of joy and that little personality gets cuter and sweeter every day, so it is fun to have her at this age! I think she had a great birthday despite the rough weekend. We love you, big 'two now' girl! :)

A Daddy and His Girls!

I know I tease him a lot and give him a hard time and Lord knows putting up with me is no walk in the park, but when it comes to husbands and fathers for children...I hit the jackpot! :) I think I have mentioned it on here before but the minute Scott and I started dating, I knew we would get married, and I also knew we would have kids and I knew they would be girls. Something about Scott screams, "Daddy to Girls!" :) And, man do our girls adore their Daddy! Every morning when I bring Liv into the living room the first thing she asks is, 'where's Daddy!?' and Abby, too...'is Daddy at work today or is he off?'

I love this one....look how Liv has her little arm around him! :)
*Sweet Story: We were outside a while back and the family down the street has a daughter that went away to college. It was her first visit home after being away, and she pulled into the driveway and the whole family ran out to meet her and give her hugs. Scott and I both teared up! They really do have to grow up and move on without us, don't they!? :(

Soccer!

As if we didn't have enough on our plates, Scott and I are coaching Abby's soccer team! And, what an adventure that has been! haha! We are mid-season already though, and it is actually a lot of fun. I really like the way the program runs things. We play two games of 3 on 3 at the same time, so we split the players and have our more aggressive players on one side of the field and then the less aggressive players on the other. It makes it nice so that a few kids aren't scoring all the goals, and everyone gets the chance to have a lot of playing time, etc. It's all for fun...no score keeping, and no referee's (other than what the coaches call, which is only the obvious at this point...out of bounds, using hands, etc). For the most part, our team loves to play, they have a good time and they do a great job.

*Abby has her days...she mostly plays on the non-aggressive side, but has played a little on the other end of the field lately. She scored a goal the first game and she is really starting to move the ball more. I am not sure if it's something she will do for years to come, but she has fun and enjoys it. The other parents on our team call her the social butterfly, because she mostly is there to see her friends and socialize. ha! She walks onto the field waving, 'hi, Ava...hi, Ryann....hi, Trent!' haha!

Our asst. coach! Twice we have had our parents here to watch but the rest of the time we have no one to watch after Liv, which means I coach at least half of every game with her on my hip! ha! She's a good girl, though, and I'm quite certain she would get in there and play harder than some of the kids on our team! ha!

Abby and Maci cheering on the field! See what I mean...maybe soccer isn't her thing, but she sure is cute doing it! ha!

Snacks...everyone's favorite part of the game! ha!

A beautiful day in the STL!

A couple weeks ago, Mom, Dad, Timmie, Britt and Blake (her boyfriend-WHAT!?) came to visit. It was Blake's birthday so Britt wanted to surprise him with Cardinals tickets. We all met downtown at the arch and then walked downtown for some lunch and birthday celebrating! :)

Britt and Blake! I will say, they sure are good kiddos!

Me and Britt...doesn't it seem like just yesterday she was Liv's age, out at North Harrison basketball games cheering in her little uniforms!?

Timmie and his biggest fan! :) (this is for sure one of my Top 10 pics of all time, by the way!)

Abby and her Britt-Britt!

Mom and her rotten grand-girls! :)

All the ladies! :)

Love this one...they sure do love their Nanny! :)

Wheeeeee....and, this one and my Dad are 2 peas in a pod!

Scott, Timmie, Britt and Blake headed off to a Cardinals game and me, Mom, Dad and the girls headed to the zoo. I love this one...this perfectly displays Abby feelings towards sweets! haha!

Butterfuly house!

More zoo fun!
We all such a great day (minus the walk back to the car when Liv did NOT want to ride in the stroller-ha!)! I LOVE when we have family here visiting! Come back everyone....NOW, PLEASE! :)

More summer activities...

I'm still trying to piece together some pictures from all of our summer activities so I can get caught up on here.

Scott has been wanting to go on this class/trip that is offered through his work for years now, and he finally got the opportunity this summer. They went to Gettysburg and toured all the battle sites, etc. They do a day of classroom study, then a day on site. He loved it.

Spassfest...we fit right in at an event called Spassfest! ha! There is always something going on in these little towns where we live. Apparently, my girls are adrenaline junkies. I don't have a good picture of it, but we rode the scrambler again and Liv even rode!

With Nanny on the Ferris Wheel! :)

Me and my little ladies!

More random pics from the last month! :)

Silly girls. I will say one thing about our family that I love...we have a good time no matter what we are doing. :)

This picture cracks me up...it looks like they are off on a little joy ride by themselves! ha!

A few weeks ago we went to Dixon to visit with Scott's family! My in-laws have the perfect yard for taking beautiful pictures of my girls! :)

Abby and her Goggy! I just love this picture! :)

Wild Woman! We laugh about how exhausted our parents are after we leave from a weekend visit! I mean, it's not everyday that they have to drag arond an extra 20 something pounds! ha!

My helpers! I don't do anything in this house without my two little helpers! :) This was cake baking, and like I mentioned, Liv likes sweets....she's always up for licking the bowl with me!
Abby, ready to go to the zoo! ha!

About Me

Welcome to our life! :) Our life seems to be a constant 3 ring circus these days, but we have a lot of fun, laugh a lot and enjoy every minute of it (okay...almost every minute-haha!) Scott and I have been married for almost 9 years, and we are the parents of 2 amazing daughters, and another little one on the way. This blog is a way to keep in touch with family and friends. It also serves as a 'year book' of sorts for our family. Enjoy!!
